Evento: “1°Premio Share 2007” 1° Premio di arti legate ai nuovi media e alle tecnologie digitali Quando: l’iscrizione al premio va dal 15 giugno al 15 settembre 2006 Dove: il bando di concorso e il modulo d’iscrizione è sul sito: www.toshare.it “Quando to share vuol dire premiare” Ad arricchire la formula di successo di Share Festival non poteva mancare un concorso. Senza un concorso, infatti, che festival sarebbe? Che cosa si festeggerebbe se non ci fosse il vincitore di una competizione? La crew di Share indice per tale motivo un concorso internazionale per opere esistenti di arte digitale. Una Giuria assegnerà un premio di € 2.500 all’opera (edita o inedita) che meglio rappresenterà la sperimentazione tra arti e nuove tecnologie. Per iscriversi al premio si ha tempo fino al 15 settembre sul sito www.toshare.it. Entro il 30 ottobre 2006 saranno resi noti i nomi degli artisti finalisti (una short list di massimo 6 concorrenti). I candidati al premio sono invitati a partecipare alla 3° edizione di Share Festival, che si svolgerà a Torino dal 23 al 28 gennaio 2007 all’Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti. I 6 concorrenti, scelti tra tutti i partecipanti, esporranno l’opera in concorso durante le giornate del festival . Le 6 opere verranno pubblicate e recensite nel catalogo dello Share Festival. Il vincitore sarà annunciato sabato 27 gennaio 2007 durante la cerimonia di premiazione. L’annuncio sarà pubblicato sul sito web del Festival (www.toshare.it). Il premio, che ha lo scopo di scoprire, promuovere e sostenere le arti digitali, è aperto a tutti gli artisti italiani e stranieri. Il requisito fondamentale per partecipare al concorso è creare un’opera in cui la tecnologia digitale è applicata come linguaggio di espressione creativa. Non c’è limitazione per forma e formato, anche in combinazione con tecnologie analogiche e/o qualunque altro materiale (per esempio computer animation / visual effects, digital music, arte interattiva, net art, software art, live cinema, performance audiovisive, etc.). Ogni artista o collettivo può presentare un massimo di 3 opere. Gli artisti che sono parte di collettivi possono partecipare al concorso anche singolarmente con un massimo di 3 opere. La Torino post-olimpica è sempre più teatro abituale di podi e di premiazioni. Chi vincerà per la prima volta in Italia la medaglia d’oro dell’arte digitale? In fact, without a contest, what festival would it be? What would be celebrated if there were no winner? And it’s for this reason that the Share team announces an international contest for existing works of digital art. A Jury will award a prize of € 2,500 to the work (published or not) that best represents experimentation of arts and new technologies. Candidates have until 15 September to register their competition entry on: www.toshare.it . A short list of no more than six finalists will be announced within 30th October 2006. The award candidates are invited to participate in the 3rd edition of Share Festival in Turin from 23rd to 28th January 2007 at the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti. The six competitors, chosen from all the participants, will exhibit the work they have entered in the competition, during the Festival. These six works will be published and reviewed in the Share Festival catalogue. The winner will be announced on Saturday 27th January 2007 during the Award Ceremony. The announcement will be published on the Festival web site www.toshare.it . The competition aims to discover, promote and sustain digital arts and is open to all Italian and international artists. The main requisite for participating in the competition is to create a work in which digital technology is applied as a language of creative expression. There is no limitation to shape and format, combinations with analogical technologies and/or any other material (eg computer animation / visual effects, digital music, interactive art, net art, software art, live cinema, audiovisual performance, etc.). Every artist or group can present as many as three works. Artists who are also group members can participate singly in the contest with as many as three works. Post-Olympic Turin is now increasingly used to the theatre of podiums and awards. Who will be first to win the gold medal of digital art in Italy?
